All was good. We a drink at the bar while waiting for our table. I said something about prime rib, and the bar tender said "let me check". He put my name on it, last piece. We were seated about 30 minutes later, right on schedule. I ordered the prime rib, all worked out and well worth it. Excellent. Better than expected. Came w a horseradish sauce, baked potato. Couldn't be better! I will return! Food excellent Service: excellent, above and beyond Ambiance very good
This past March I had a very Good Friday fish fry for lunch at The French Pub . I had the beer battered fish, but you can choose panko breaded, broiled or blackened. The fish was a pretty good size and was very tasty. You also get rue bread with butter,Cole slaw, macaroni salad and a choice of potato.The German potato salad that I picked as my side was quite good. The tartar sauce was a bit different with a sweet pickle taste vs. a dill pickle taste, but I liked it a lot. The restaurant seems like a cozy family restaurant that makes you feel right at home. Staff is friendly and efficient. There were many televisions that came in handy as we were watching some March madness action. I would definitely come back for their fish fry in the future!
Love this place! The beer cheese soup is a great starter! Such great flavor and texture. The seasonal menu always has something great to try. Everything comes in a huge portion size - you'll always walk away full! The vibe inside is very "WNY diner". It's comfy and welcoming. We've had some longer waits, I'm assuming due to staffing problems. However, once we've been seated, we've always had good service.
Every one is very nice and the food is delicious!! The staff are very nice and the prices aren't bad!
Time and time again I have had a great dining experience here. If someone were to ask me to name one of my favorite WNY restaurants, the French Pub would be in the top 5, perhaps even top 3.
